First Entry

This blog is made in the hope of answering the following questions:

1. What is Black Sabbath's religious message?  How can their orientation be described in relation to religion in general?

2. Where does their religious orientation come from?  What brought them to it?

3. Is there a line between fantasy and faith in Black Sabbath? Is there a difference between entertainment and religion?  Marxists would say not.  Is there a difference between performance and ritual? Many sociologists and anthropologists would say not.  Band and cult?  I am starting to wonder.
